12 Nov 💡 Transformation Advisory Board meeting +++ Focus topic: People – neuralgic point in transformations 💡
A central part of our company philosophy is to think beyond the daily business, to continuously deal with #trends, #innovations and #visions – and to figure out how they affect transformations. For this purpose, the interdisciplinary advisory board of WARGITSCH TRANSFORMATION ENGINEERS, Patricia Kraft, Klaus-Hardy Mühleck, Katja Steger, Sebastian Seutter and Nils Urbach, met together with the WARGITSCH management team at the Pfaffenhofen headquarters.
The focus topic was “The human being – neuralgic point in transformations” to make a view through the lens how people in terms of capabilities & competence, context & culture (4Cs) influence transformations and what transformation endeavors require to be encouraged.
A lighthouse of trend and future research is the megatrend systematics of the Zukunftsinstitut. It describes and categorizes complex, long-term change processes with profound dimensions and effects. For WARGITSCH TRANSFORMATION ENGINEERS and their customers, three of the twelve #megatrends have a central importance: new work, connectivity and security.
At the advisory board meeting, the interaction of the system element ‘human being’ in transformation processes in the context of these megatrends was discussed and – amongst others – some working hypotheses were drawn up in three working groups, which we would like to explore in greater depth in research projects over the next few months:
➤ Hypothesis #1 – People & New Work:
Resilience, empathy and reflection are the key skills for new work structures and corporate cultures that need to be actively supported and promoted.
➤ Hypothesis #2 – People & Connectivity:
Hyper-connectivity is moving the trend away from individual geniuses with insular knowledge to cross-functional teams, with geographic context also becoming less important. Networked knowledge, knowledge sharing and continuous learning are the success factors for the future.
➤ Hypothesis #3 – People & Security:
People need to be prepared and have to be aware that uncertain phases (disruptions) are necessary to reach the next stage of development and renewed security. Especially in these disruptive phases, the 4Cs should be focused and actively managed.
